Why Nutrition Matters
Proper nutrition plays a crucial role in managing energy levels, physical health, mental well-being, and chronic conditions. Many people with disabilities face unique dietary challenges, such as:
Difficulty chewing or swallowing (dysphagia)
Sensory sensitivities and food aversions
Managing conditions like diabetes, heart disease, or gastrointestinal disorders
Our dietitian can help navigate these challenges by providing practical strategies and education, ensuring that participants feel empowered to make informed dietary choices.
How We Support You
Our Dietitian works closely with participants, families, and caregivers to provide personalised nutrition support through:
Comprehensive Assessment & Goal Setting
We take the time to understand your medical history, dietary preferences, and lifestyle to develop realistic health goals that align with your NDIS plan.
Tailored Nutrition Plans
We create individualised meal plans that accommodate specific health conditions, personal preferences, and lifestyle factors, ensuring sustainable and enjoyable eating habits.
Education & Empowerment
We equip participants and caregivers with the knowledge and skills to make healthy food choices, plan balanced meals, and manage dietary challenges effectively.
Ongoing Support & Monitoring
Regular check-ins allow us to track progress, adjust nutrition strategies as needed, and ensure participants stay on the path toward better health.
Collaboration with Health Professionals
We work alongside GPs, speech pathologists, occupational therapists, and support workers to provide holistic, coordinated care that aligns with the participant’s overall NDIS goals.
